I was born in Canada, where I spent a great deal of my youth outdoors. Attracted to documentary photography, I soon picked up a camera myself. As I matured, a relationship with nature began shaping my worldview, and continues to inform my aesthetic. I'm fascinated by the intimate worlds each of us inhabit, and I have a great respect for my subjects -- I feel incredibly lucky to be invited into their lives. I strive to weave greater narratives into my photographs, and instill them with a sense of time and place. I currently live on the coast north of Los Angeles with my wife and daughter.
