I love taking pictures of my daughter. I know, I know, a lot of people take great pictures of their kids. It's true. But I really enjoy the experience. There's a freedom and ease both to her in front and me behind the camera that's refreshing and inspiring. I've got a lot of great pictures of her, and I toy with the idea of posting a gallery devoted to her at some point, but in the mean time I just have to share these pictures that we did yesterday after returning from an amazing day at the beach. She's been very involved in having her picture taken since she was a small baby. Always making direct eye contact. Almost always co-operative but definitely telling me when she doesn't want to take photos. Oona was wearing her new Roberta Roller Rabbit shirt and the sun was getting low and we were just playing in the backyard. The whole setting was so perfect that I told her I was going to go get my camera and we set up a bunch of little scenarios and had fun. I think this could probably go down as her first official fashion shoot.
